Dirigido por el director francés Jeannot Szwarc, escrita por Richard Matheson y estelarizada por Christopher Reeve y Jane Seymour. A pesar de que fue un fracaso de taquilla, su enorme cantidad de seguidores se dio a partir de su transmisión en televisión por cable, donde adquirió la categoría como filme clásico de culto.
